DESCRIPTION:Volunteer Advisory\nContact: Gil Rossner (208) 494-0025 or  cdabike@yahoo.com \n\nVolunteers Needed for May 3rd “Healthy Hayden Creek” Event\n\nEvent features tree-planting\, reclamation and educational activities for all ages\n\nVolunteers are needed on Saturday\, May 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a day of activities aimed at restoring a misused and neglected patch of land that has negatively impacted water quality in Hayden Creek. Volunteers will plant\, stake and protect up to 250 larch seedlings. Children and their parents will enjoy related educational activities. All participants will be treated to refreshments\, courtesy of the Watershed Association. \nThe planting event will take place at the confluence of Ohio Match Rd. and FSR 437. It is recommended that volunteers go north on Rimrock Rd. to Ohio Match Rd. and turn east (right). Access via FSR 437 is discouraged due to adverse road conditions. \nVolunteers are urged to wear sturdy shoes\, work gloves\, insect repellent\, sunscreen\, and bring a flat blade spade if they have one. \nWHO: Volunteers of all ages under the direction of HLWA. \nWHAT: Plant seedlings\, engage in educational activities for all ages\, enjoy refreshments \nWHERE: The planting will take place at the confluence of Ohio Match Rd. and FSR 437. Look for designated parking area. It is recommended that volunteers go north on Rimrock Rd. to Ohio Match Rd. and turn east (right). Access via FSR 437 is discouraged due to adverse road conditions. \nWHY: To reclaim a vulnerable patch of land that is eroding into Hayden Creek causing water quality issues in Hayden Lake. \nWHEN: Saturday\, May 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
